• Compare and contrast indications and contraindications for heart transplant in adult and pediatric populations
• Describe heart transplant evaluation process and identify heart transplant waiting list statuses
• Discuss postoperative monitoring of heart transplant recipient and identify the 3 classes of posttransplant immunosuppression
• Identify potential treatment options for antibody-medicated and acute cellular rejection
• Identify 3 topics to be addressed in post-biopsy patient and family education

The CCTC and CCTN Review Course, presented by Sandra Cupples, PhD RN FAAN and Linda Ohler, RN MSN CCTC FAAN FAST, is a comprehensive program for transplant nurses preparing for the CCTC and CCTN examinations. Based on the American Board for Transplant Certification’s test blueprints and the 2nd edition of the Core Curriculum for Transplant Nurses, this course includes general transplantation and organ-specific topics as well as information on test-taking strategies. The review course will be offered in 11 modules, which can be purchased individually or as a package. Participants will earn CE and CEPTC credits for completing each module. Currently, 6 modules are available for purchase, with the remaining modules being released later in 2020.
